Part of the OCR GCSE Combined Science curriculum.
OCR GCSE Combined Science C4 Predicting and Identifying Reactions and Products is a step-by-step online learn guide for GCSE students in Years 10 and 11, mapped to the OCR specification (OCR GCSE (9–1) Gateway Science Combined Science A (J250) – C4 Predicting and identifying reactions and products). It covers group 1 alkali metals, group 7 halogens, halogen displacement reactions, noble gases and transition metals, reactivity of metals and predicting reactions and testing gases, then brings it all together with mixed retrieval and exam practice.
There are 20 short steps of about 15 minutes (roughly 5 hours of learning), each made of bite-size explanations with key words, tables and examples, and every bite-size is followed by an activity you check straight away. Key terms include Alkali metal, Tarnish, Halogen, Diatomic, Displacement reaction, Spectator ion, Noble gas, Monatomic, Reactivity series, Positive ion, Trend and Extrapolate.
