Part of the OCR GCSE Combined Science curriculum.
OCR GCSE Combined Science P1 Matter is a step-by-step online learn guide for GCSE students in Years 10 and 11, mapped to the OCR specification (OCR GCSE (9–1) Gateway Science Combined Science A (J250) – Topic P1 Matter). It covers atomic models and atom structure, density and the particle model, density calculations and PAG P1, changes of state, specific heat capacity, specific latent heat and gas pressure and temperature, then brings it all together with mixed retrieval and exam practice.
There are 23 short steps of about 15 minutes (roughly 6 hours of learning), each made of bite-size explanations with key words, tables and examples, and every bite-size is followed by an activity you check straight away. Key terms include Plum pudding model, Nuclear model, Density, kg/m³, Displacement, Displacement can, Sublimation, Physical change, Specific heat capacity, ΔE = m × c × Δθ, Specific latent heat and Fusion.
