Part of the OCR GCSE Combined Science curriculum.
OCR GCSE Combined Science P3 Electricity and Magnetism is a step-by-step online learn guide for GCSE students in Years 10 and 11, mapped to the OCR specification (OCR GCSE (9–1) Gateway Science Combined Science A (J250) – Topic P3 Electricity and magnetism). It covers static electricity and charge, current and charge flow, potential difference and resistance, I–V characteristics and components, series and parallel circuits, energy and power in circuits, magnets and magnetic fields and electromagnetism and the motor effect, then brings it all together with mixed retrieval and exam practice.
There are 26 short steps of about 15 minutes (roughly 6.5 hours of learning), each made of bite-size explanations with key words, tables and examples, and every bite-size is followed by an activity you check straight away. Key terms include Electron, Static electricity, Current, Charge, Potential difference, Voltmeter, I–V characteristic, Filament lamp, Series circuit, Parallel circuit, Power and P = I V.
