Part of the KS3 Science curriculum.
KS3 Science Year 9: Cell biology: GCSE bridge is a step-by-step online learn guide for GCSE students in Years 10 and 11. It covers eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells, microscopy and magnification, required practical: observing cells, osmosis, required practical: osmosis in potato, enzymes and the lock-and-key model and mitosis and stem cells, then brings it all together with mixed retrieval and unit challenge.
There are 23 short steps of about 15 minutes (roughly 6 hours of learning), each made of bite-size explanations with key words, tables and examples, and every bite-size is followed by an activity you check straight away. Key terms include Eukaryotic, Prokaryotic, Magnification, Micrometre, Epidermis, Stain, Osmosis, Partially permeable, Percentage change, Independent variable, Enzyme and Active site.
