Part of the KS3 Science curriculum.
KS3 Science Year 8: Light, sound and space is a step-by-step online learn guide for Key Stage 3 pupils in Years 7 to 9. It covers sound waves and vibrations, pitch, loudness and hearing, light and reflection, refraction and lenses, the eye, the pinhole camera and colour, the solar system and gravity and seasons, days and light years, then brings it all together with mixed retrieval and unit challenge.
There are 23 short steps of about 15 minutes (roughly 6 hours of learning), each made of bite-size explanations with key words, tables and examples, and every bite-size is followed by an activity you check straight away. Key terms include Vibration, Longitudinal wave, Frequency, Amplitude, Luminous, Reflection, Refraction, Boundary, Retina, Pinhole camera, Gravity and Orbit.
