Part of the KS3 Science curriculum.
KS3 Science Year 8: Energy stores and transfers is a step-by-step online learn guide for Key Stage 3 pupils in Years 7 to 9. It covers energy stores, energy transfers and pathways, conservation of energy and dissipation, energy in food and fuels, conduction, convection and radiation, work done and power and paying for electricity, then brings it all together with mixed retrieval and unit challenge.
There are 23 short steps of about 15 minutes (roughly 6 hours of learning), each made of bite-size explanations with key words, tables and examples, and every bite-size is followed by an activity you check straight away. Key terms include Energy store, Kinetic store, Energy pathway, Mechanically, Conservation of energy, Dissipation, Fuel, Kilojoule (kJ), Conduction, Convection, Work done and Force.
