KS3 Maths Year 9: Statistics: grouped data and scatter graphs is a step-by-step online learn guide for Key Stage 3 pupils in Years 7 to 9. It covers averages from ungrouped frequency tables, averages from grouped frequency tables, stem-and-leaf diagrams, time series graphs, drawing scatter graphs and describing correlation, lines of best fit and estimating and misleading graphs and choosing representations, then brings it all together with mixed retrieval and unit challenge.
There are 23 short steps of about 15 minutes (roughly 6 hours of learning), each made of bite-size explanations with key words, tables and examples, and every bite-size is followed by an activity you check straight away. Key terms include Frequency table, Frequency, Grouped data, Class interval, Stem-and-leaf diagram, Stem, Time series, Trend, Bivariate data, Scatter graph, Line of best fit and Mean point.
