KS3 Maths Year 9: Circles, congruence and similarity is a step-by-step online learn guide for Key Stage 3 pupils in Years 7 to 9. It covers parts of a circle, arc length and sector area, volume and surface area of cylinders, plans and elevations, congruent triangles, similar shapes and scale factors and missing lengths in similar triangles, then brings it all together with mixed retrieval and unit challenge.
There are 23 short steps of about 15 minutes (roughly 6 hours of learning), each made of bite-size explanations with key words, tables and examples, and every bite-size is followed by an activity you check straight away. Key terms include Chord, Tangent, Arc length, Sector area, Cylinder, Cross-section, Plan, Front elevation, Congruent, SSS, Similar and Scale factor.
