Part of the KS3 Maths curriculum.
KS3 Maths Year 8: Transformations and constructions is a step-by-step online learn guide for Key Stage 3 pupils in Years 7 to 9. It covers line symmetry and reflection, rotation, translation using vectors, enlargement with positive scale factors, describing and combining transformations, constructing triangles and perpendicular bisectors, angle bisectors and loci, then brings it all together with mixed retrieval and unit challenge.
There are 23 short steps of about 15 minutes (roughly 6 hours of learning), each made of bite-size explanations with key words, tables and examples, and every bite-size is followed by an activity you check straight away. Key terms include Reflection, Mirror line, Rotation, Centre of rotation, Translation, Column vector, Enlargement, Scale factor, Single transformation, Full description, Construct and Compasses.
