KS3 Maths Year 8: Primes, powers, roots and standard form is a step-by-step online learn guide for Key Stage 3 pupils in Years 7 to 9. It covers factors, multiples and primes, prime factorisation, HCF and LCM using prime factors, powers and roots, laws of indices, writing numbers in standard form and calculating with standard form, then brings it all together with mixed retrieval and unit challenge.
There are 23 short steps of about 15 minutes (roughly 6 hours of learning), each made of bite-size explanations with key words, tables and examples, and every bite-size is followed by an activity you check straight away. Key terms include Factor, Multiple, Prime factorisation, Product, HCF, LCM, Power, Base, Multiplication law, Division law, Standard form and Power of 10.
