Part of the KS3 Maths curriculum.
KS3 Maths Year 8: Linear equations and graphs is a step-by-step online learn guide for Key Stage 3 pupils in Years 7 to 9. It covers solving equations with unknowns on both sides, rearranging formulae, coordinates in four quadrants and horizontal and vertical lines, plotting linear graphs from a table of values, gradient and y-intercept, finding the equation of a line and real-life graphs, then brings it all together with mixed retrieval and unit challenge.
There are 23 short steps of about 15 minutes (roughly 6 hours of learning), each made of bite-size explanations with key words, tables and examples, and every bite-size is followed by an activity you check straight away. Key terms include Equation, Unknown, Formula, Subject, Coordinate, Axis, Linear, Table of values, Gradient, y-intercept, Substitute a point and Parallel.
