OCR GCSE Combined Science C1 Particles – Learn Guide

OCR GCSE Combined Science C1 Particles is a step-by-step online learn guide for GCSE students in Years 10 and 11, mapped to the OCR specification (OCR GCSE (9–1) Gateway Science Combined Science A (J250) – C1 Particles). It covers states of matter and the particle model, changes of state, physical changes, chemical changes and the limits of the model, developing the atomic model, inside the atom and atomic number, mass number, isotopes and ions, then brings it all together with mixed retrieval and exam practice.

There are 20 short steps of about 15 minutes (roughly 5 hours of learning), each made of bite-size explanations with key words, tables and examples, and every bite-size is followed by an activity you check straight away. Key terms include Particle model, Solid, Melting, Boiling, Physical change, Chemical change, Plum pudding model, Alpha scattering, Proton, Neutron, Atomic number and Mass number.
