Part of the KS3 Maths curriculum.
KS3 Maths Year 9: Algebraic manipulation, quadratics and simultaneous equations is a step-by-step online learn guide for Key Stage 3 pupils in Years 7 to 9. It covers expanding and simplifying single brackets, factorising into a single bracket, expanding double brackets, factorising quadratic expressions, solving quadratic equations by factorising, solving simultaneous equations graphically and solving simultaneous equations by elimination, then brings it all together with mixed retrieval and unit challenge.
There are 23 short steps of about 15 minutes (roughly 6 hours of learning), each made of bite-size explanations with key words, tables and examples, and every bite-size is followed by an activity you check straight away. Key terms include Expand, Like terms, Factorise, Factor, Binomial, Grid method, Quadratic expression, Factor pair, Quadratic equation, Root, Simultaneous and Intersection.
