KS3 Maths Year 8: Area, perimeter and volume is a step-by-step online learn guide for Key Stage 3 pupils in Years 7 to 9. It covers perimeter and area of compound shapes, area of triangles, parallelograms and trapezia, circumference of a circle, area of a circle, converting units of area and volume, volume of cuboids and prisms and surface area of cuboids and prisms, then brings it all together with mixed retrieval and unit challenge.
There are 23 short steps of about 15 minutes (roughly 6 hours of learning), each made of bite-size explanations with key words, tables and examples, and every bite-size is followed by an activity you check straight away. Key terms include Perimeter, Area, Perpendicular height, Parallelogram, Circumference, Radius, Area of a circle, In terms of π, Square metre (m²), Cubic centimetre (cm³), Volume and Prism.
