Part of the KS3 Science curriculum.
KS3 Science Year 9: Electricity and magnetism is a step-by-step online learn guide for Key Stage 3 pupils in Years 7 to 9. It covers static electricity and electric fields, current in series and parallel circuits, potential difference, resistance and Ohm's law, magnets and magnetic fields, electromagnets and the motor effect and DC motors, then brings it all together with mixed retrieval and unit challenge.
There are 23 short steps of about 15 minutes (roughly 6 hours of learning), each made of bite-size explanations with key words, tables and examples, and every bite-size is followed by an activity you check straight away. Key terms include Static charge, Electron, Current, Ammeter, Potential difference, Volt, Resistance, Ohm, Magnetic field, Magnetic material, Electromagnet and Solenoid.
