Part of the KS3 Science curriculum.
KS3 Science Year 8: Respiration, photosynthesis and ecosystems is a step-by-step online learn guide for Key Stage 3 pupils in Years 7 to 9. It covers aerobic respiration, anaerobic respiration and fermentation, photosynthesis, investigating the rate of photosynthesis, leaves, roots and minerals, food chains and webs and interdependence and bioaccumulation, then brings it all together with mixed retrieval and unit challenge.
There are 23 short steps of about 15 minutes (roughly 6 hours of learning), each made of bite-size explanations with key words, tables and examples, and every bite-size is followed by an activity you check straight away. Key terms include Aerobic respiration, Respiration, Anaerobic respiration, Lactic acid, Photosynthesis, Chlorophyll, Rate of photosynthesis, Light intensity, Stomata, Guard cells, Food chain and Food web.
